The Rasamny family’s story in Liberia began nearly a century ago with five brothers — Hassib Rasamny, Rafiq Rasamny, Richard Rasamny, Fouad Rasamny, and Fayez Rasamny — Levantine merchants who journeyed to West Africa in the early twentieth century and chose Liberia as their home. Through enterprise, integrity, and perseverance, the brothers laid the foundations of a respected family legacy and a strong commercial presence rooted in service to the community.

As Liberia experienced periods of growth and hardship, including the civil war, the Rasamny family remained deeply connected to the country and its people. In the years that followed, Hassib Rasamny’s eldest son Ghassan carried this legacy forward, rebuilding and reaffirming the family’s long-standing commitment by establishing The Cape Hotel Monrovia together with his sons.

Today, The Cape Hotel stands as a symbol of continuity and renewal, reflecting nearly one hundred years of experience, dedication, and belief in Liberia’s future.
